TRACK RACERS
Due to an error in overbooking the San Diego Velodrome, the Arizona Track Series #2 scheduled for May 17 and 18 will be condensed to just May 18th. There will be track racing on May 17 promoted as the Southern California Omnium #2.
The Arizona Track Series #2 will conduct a Miss and Out and a Points Race in both A (cats 1-2-3) and B (cats 4 – 5) groups and women and a Scratch Race for juniors. Registration opens at 8am and racing starts at 9am. Mass starts will be followed individual time trials.
Saguaro Velo, the promoters of the Arizona Track Series apologizes for any inconvenience. The booking difficulties were completely out of Saguaro Velo’s control.

Happy New Year everyone. Racing season is just around the corner. Make sure you step up and volunteer to help out at one or more of our events this year. The overview looks like this:
Apr: Track Trip #1
May: Track Trip #2
Jun: Picacho TT #1, Track Trip #3
Jul: Picacho TT #2, State Track Championships, Picacho TT #3
Aug: Mt. Lemmon TT, Kitt Peak TT
Sep: Sonoita-Patagonia TT
So, get out and try some racing this year. Put a time down on a TT, then improve on it the next month. If you are new to racing, don't hesitate to ask questions on the group email list. There are plenty of Saguaro Velo veterans out there, with lots of experience that will be glad to share their thoughts and perspectives.
If you have been off the bike for a while make a commitment to get back on. Start small. Maybe an hour a week. Just do it. Get out and ride.
