The 2009 racing season is just around the corner. Make sure you step up and volunteer to help out at one or more of our events this year. Saguaro Velo puts on more races than any other team. Everyone should be proud. SV events for the 2009 season looks like this:
May: Track Trip #1, Sonoita-Patagonia TT
Jun: Track Trip #2, Mt. Lemmon TT
Jul: Track Trip #3, Picacho TT #1,
Aug: State Track Championships, Picacho TT #2
Sep: Picacho TT #3, Kitt Peak TT
So, get out and try some racing this year. Put a time down on a TT, then improve on it the next month. If you are new to racing, don't hesitate to ask questions on the group email list. There are plenty of Saguaro Velo veterans out there, with lots of experience that will be glad to share their thoughts and perspectives.
If you have been off the bike for a while make a commitment to get back on. Start small. Maybe an hour a week. Just do it. Get out and ride.
