Mount Lemmon Time Trial

What?

An 12.5 mile hill climb time trial up Tucson's most famous mountain. Vertical gain is about 3000 feet.

Where?

The TT begins near the intersection of Snyder road and Catalina highway. The TT finishes 12.5 miles later at Bear Canyon picnic area. From Phoenix, take I-10 to Grant Road. Go east on Grant 10 miles to Tanque Verde. Go left on Tanque Verde and follow the signs for Mount Lemmon/Catalina Highway.

NOTE: The Sheriff's department now requires all vehicles park on Snyder road west of Catalina Hwy. There will be no parking on Catalina Hwy.

When?

August 10, 2008. Registration is from 5:30-6:30 am. First rider off at 7:00.

How Much?

$15 registration. Juniors $2. One day licenses $10.

Prize List

Bragging rights only. Series champions win a t-shirt. Trophies to the Best Mountain Man and Best Mountain Woman for combined lowest time on Kitt Peak and Mount Lemmon.

Preregistration

We’ll do in-person preregistration the night before the race from 6-8 pm at Lerua’s Mexican Restaurant, 2005 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson.

Sorry, no mail-in registration this year.

Anything Else?

Course is open to traffic. Please ride as far to the right as possible.
